Oster Wine Opener – Customer Review 1I am without doubt a person who hates cheap, clutter-like widgets but I did buy this out or curiosity just imagining it would be returned the next day. This opener is quite large, requires an electric plug and takes up worktop space. I have to have though and to my surprise it works amazingly well. There’s a foil cutter that gets stored in the base of the Oster Wine Opener. The screw goes into the bottle easily and cleanly and seems to stop broken and shredded corks which can be hard to handle. Holding the button again and the cork simply emerges from the device and drops out onto the side. I had previously always liked my much loved sturdy and very simple stainless steel opener. But this turned out to be a keeper for sure. Its design is very contemporary and clean, although it does look like it should do a lot more than simply pull a cork. It's also a conversation item making even the most straight faced of guest. The Oster Wine Opener was given to me as a gift, so I didn't really have high expectations of how good it would. If you open wine often, like me there is no way you can't find the Oster Wine Opener to be absolutely amazing at its job. The Oster Wine Opener absolutely does open bottles quickly and easily, you just press down the “up" button and it takes the corks right out in just seconds! Then you can just press down the “down” arrow to make it give the cork back to you – and this is even quicker again! With no damage to the cork you can place it right back to the open bottle when you like.This is one of the best gifts I have received in recent years. A must for wine drinkers everywhere.
